Anxious Wedding Chinese Car Buyers

I read an article today that talked about how buyers of luxury cars in China often want to drive a model off the lot, even for cars that usually have a long waiting period.

According to the article, some rather rich Chinese entrepreneurs show up on their wedding day wanting to purchase a car on the spot for their wedding. The article pointed out that this is much more common among Chinese consumers than those from other countries.

I wonder what drives people to be that eager get into a car they are going to be paying a lot of money for, and that could be customized for about the same price?
