They lease their servers from China Telecoms. China Telecom belongs to the government and their slow down their rivals servers on purpose. So if you are interested in surfing non-Chinese websites go with Telecom

As for sharing your internet connection for ADSL (=&quot;password protected&quot;) - get a router - it&#039;s about 150 kuai, can act as a firewall as well.</description>

Yeah I did run into some problems with that service, several months of very spotty connections.  Don&#039;t think there is any perfect solution, but hear that China Telecom is more stable.</description>
