It looks like a hair from 2 miles away, plus what Joe said the ground around it is the same color as the ground. NASA claims no astronaut has seen the great wall from space. As wikipedia points out it's too thin and roughly the same color as the ground. However, in the evening, when the sun is setting, it's SHADOW is visible from low orbit.
