Confirmation: The Great Firewall of China Puts out Feedburner Fire

Feedburner Crushed by the Great Firewall of ChinaIn ever growing attempts to anger the China expat blog-o-sphere, the Great Firewall of China has finally put out Feedburner’s Fire, as Ryan relates at Lost Laowai. It appears that most of feedburner’s features (besides delivering content to readers on the other side of the Great Firewall of China), have been destroyed… eliminated… killed off. But there is still hope that the Great Firewall of China will back off from poor little Feedburner.

Disabling Feedburner’s Features

For example, on this particular blog I can no longer get features to load that once popped up with ease - such as Feedburner’s email this, digg this, stumble this, features… instead of making readers wait for them to not load, I killed this code last night.

Anyone else having persistent troubles with feedburner in China these days?

Does the arbitrariness of it piss you off like it does many others?

Well, that’s just the way it is. Accept it or go home and get out of China.

Feck it… I’m going home! ;-) Honestly, as someone that earns their living online… these increasing restrictions are maddening.

    Ryan,

Totally understand your pain, except I don’t really earn any money online… but there is always hope for the future. :)
