Shanghai Wax Museum - Madame Tussauds

What is this Wax Museum in Shanghai?
Madame Tussauds Shanghai is located on the 10th floor of the New World Emporium (新世界), right outside of the People’s Square Subway Station. For its somewhat steep 135 RMB entrance fee (which includes a tunnel of horror tour), you can see its collection of life-like wax imitations of more than a few famous people.
So How Real Are The Wax Models?
Some of the wax models are impressive recreations that make you do a double take - but most are at least good enough to make you smile.
The worst recreations are the ones trying to imitate those who have long since left this earth (especially Shakespeare, who comes off as a very scary guy).
Is Madame Tussauds Worth It?
Only if you’ve got some money to burn, but it was a good way to kill an afternoon with my father and girlfriend while he is here visiting.
It’s also worth it if you just have to have a picture with Michael Jordon, Albert Einstein, Neil Armstrong, Elvis, the Beatles or a handful of other sports, music, and movie stars.
